Hoseasons offer self-drive boating holidays on Britain’s network of canals, rivers and inland waterways. You have the freedom to decide where to go, where to stop and what to visit. The network of rivers and canals lets you see the countryside as you have never seen it before, and you can moor for the night right on a quiet riverbank, or in the centre of a town or city, just a few yards from welcoming inns and restaurants.

Boats Self-drive hire cruiser, traditional narrowboat or houseboats..

The Hoseasons website provides detailed descriptions and layout plans of the boats. All boats have at least one shower and flush toilet together with handbasins and hot and cold running water. Kitchens are equipped with all you need. You'll find a gas or electric cooker and oven, (many boats also have microwaves); a gas or electric refrigerator (sometimes two) plus ample pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. Some boats have 240-volt electricity systems. A television is generally supplied. On board heating is provided, should you need it, and there is plenty of storage space.

Le Boat

Le Boat provides self-drive boating holidays to the waterways of Europe. A break on the waterways combines relaxation with activities ashore and guarantees every day of your holiday brings something different. Everyone can lend a hand onboard. Whether it’s learning how to moor up on the banks of the canal for a picnic, or helping steer the boat through one of the locks along the way – there’ll be something for all the family to take part in. Once off the boat, you’ll be able to explore magical castles, enchanted forests, ride the white horses of the Camargue and cycle along the towpaths. All of the boats are modern, well equipped and easy to handle providing you with a ‘home from home’ to ensure you have a great holiday.

France: Canal du Midi, Camargue, Aquitaine, River Lot, Brittany, Charente, Burgundy Franche Comte, Burgundy Canal du Nivernais, Loire Valley, Alsace .
Germany: Brandenburg, Mecklenburg.
Holland: Amsterdam - Strand Horst/Sneek.
Ireland: River Erne, River Shannon.
Italy: Brenta River, Venice Lagoon.
Scotland: Caledonian Canal.
Boats The galleys are fully equipped and include a gas hob, oven and refrigerator. Some boats have cabins with en-suite bathrooms and every boat has ducted warm air heating. Many of the boats have a second steering position and outdoor dining area on deck
