Activities Abroad offers adventure activity holidays for families to beautiful rural locations across the world. The holidays are designed to cater for families of all abilities from absolute beginners to experienced enthusiasts. A different activity or adventure sport is offered each day so that each member of the family can pick and choose the activities they prefer. The minimum age for the holidays starts at 8 years but this varies by holiday destination. Younger children are still able to travel. Activities Abroad also offer winter activity holidays in Finnish Lapland.

A typical week might include the activity options of canadian canoeing, adventure walk and caving, canyoning, high ropes course and rock climbing and canoeing (example options are from the Ardeche holiday). Other activities available include surfing, mountain biking, tubing and whitewater rafting.

A host of different activities are available to keep the whole family busy. You can choose how many activities you do and who in the family does them.

Traditional wooden alpine chalet with stunning views, sleeping 10 - 12 guests. The chalet is child-friendly and equipped with board games, widescreen TV, DVD's, videos, satellite and Wifi broadband. Catered service breakfast, 3-course evening meal with wine and in-resort transport. An early sitting is available for children's meals. Packed lunches are included with the multi-activity 4 & 7 night breaks and daily adventures

Forest adventure, swimming, MTB, mountain walk, climbing and kayaking: for the ages of 8+, 6 activities over a 7 day stay from just £425pp, non participating parents also welcome at a reduced cost.

Minimum age for multi-activity adventures is 8 years.

There are 2 cottages available; Mimosa Cottage and Chestnut Barn. Both cottages have 2 bedrooms and sleep up to 6 people. The cottages have balconies, terrace, garden, bbq, garden furniture, parking and use of the owner’s pools. Each cottage has a box of games, toys and books to keep your children amused. An excellent range of children’s equipment is provided free of charge including sterilisers, high chairs, stair gates, cots and bed guards.

For winter holidays, a ski/snowboard resort is situated on the slopes of the Serra da Estrela (50 minutes drive).
